We’re expanding again!

Finger Lakes Gallery & Frame is excited to announce that we have outgrown our space and are expanding upward!  Yes, we now have expanded to all three floors of the historic “Knights of Columbus- 1445.”   We are located at 175 and now 177 South Main Street in Canandaigua, NY.  This gives us an additional 7000 square feet on top of our already huge 5000 square feet gallery!  Why you ask?  Why do we need that space and what will it be used for?

Simple- to be able to offer more opportunities to artists in every medium the space and exposure in STUDIO 1445 (the upstairs multi unit space).  We are now taking applications from artists wishing to lease space in our gallery in the fastest growing art community in Central New York: historic downtown Canandaigua!

There are three separate studio spaces available:

1586 sq. ft.

1060 sq. ft.

600 sq. ft.

These second and third floor spaces are perfect for a working artist’s studio, painting instruction classes and workshops, meetings and performances, as well as a retail display and exhibition rooms all with incredible full-length southern-facing windows that allow an abundance of natural light in every room!  Beautiful tin ceilings, crown moulding, and will paint to suit if desired!

In addition we also have a space that is a whopping 3500 sq. ft. that seats 300 people and we will be offering this venue for any of your special occasions and gathering needs such as fundraisers, art exhibitions, auctions, performances and special life events such as parties, weddings, birthdays, business meetings, awards ceremonies, and any other event that requires a large open floor plan.  This space has a large fully-operational kitchen, which is perfect for catering your special event, a service we offer as well for up to 300 guests.

Canandaigua now has over a dozen galleries, all unique and diverse in their own way, offering the art buyer a community of one-of-a-kind experiences.  Canandaigua is also home to the Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival and Competition every June.

Canandaigua is currently developing its lakefront across from Kershaw Park at the head of Canandaigua Lake.  Pinnacle North Shore is a multi-use lifestyle development with both residential units for lease, and many retail spaces of which some are already leased.  The new business includes a Southwest BBQ restaurant and a microbrewery.  Canandaigua Lake has some of the country’s highest-valued real estate and its owners are well-traveled and sophisticated in their art awareness- this is the place to be!

Canandaigua is the place to grow your presence in the art community and Studio 1445 is the largest, and most centralized building to do so.  With your studio rental will come representation in our gallery, Finger Lakes Gallery & Frame, which is on the first floor, street level of Main Street Canandaigua.  We represent many well-known and accomplished artists such as Cordell and Rachel Cordaro, George VanHook, Jan Saudek, David Walsh and many others.  Previously, we held a one-man show for the works of Albert Paley.  Join these accomplished artists in our gallery to experience all we can offer to help grow your exposure in the local arts scene and beyond.
